God Made the World and Me
The onslaught against our children is amazing. Every year, on tv,
in school, in the news, the crowd of atheists exert more and more
pressure. They want people to believe there is no God. They tell
us the universe, the world and everything in them got here by
accident.
However, we know that is just not so.
God is and God rewards those who seek Him (Hebrews
11:6).
We cannot look at the world around us
and believe it got here on its own any more than we can look at
the watches we are wearing and believe they got here on their own.
Our universe screams design and we worship the Grand Designer.
“Every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things
is God,” (Hebrews
3:4, ESV).
As such, we have chosen to let our
Vacation Bible School be the means by which we pass on a
defense to our children. We want them to know God is and He
created the world. Therefore, tomorrow we are going to start our
Vacation Bible School and you are invited.
We will be having classes for all ages,
including adults. Our adult class will be taught by Colly
Caldwell. Our children’s classes will be taught by caring and
active members of our congregation. Each teacher is dedicated to
helping our children learn about God. Unlike other Vacation Bible
Schools that you hear about, ours is focused on learning. The
Franklin Church of Christ is a teaching institution, upholding the
truth from God (I
Timothy 3:15), therefore we will not major in recreation
and entertainment, but in providing our children with the learning
they need to combat the debilitating doctrines of the devil.
It will be an exciting time. On Monday
night we will learn that God
is, noting some simple evidences that
show the existence of God. On Tuesday night, we will learn that
God created the universe. We will see evidences from scientific
law and from the design of the universe to show that none of this
happened on accident but God designed it all. On Wednesday night,
we will learn that God created the
world. We will see evidences
from geology and the fossil record that uphold the message of the
Bible. On Thursday night, we will learn that God made
me. Each of
us is indeed a wonderful creation from God. It baffles our minds
that people can look at the human body and think it got here
through some happy accident.
This is going to be a jam-packed week
with learning for the whole family. We hope you can be here each
night at 7 pm. We want your children to know that God made the
world and God made us.
See you there.
