About Us

The Franklin Church of Christ is a non-denominational church whose mission is to do all things to the glory of God (Ephesians 3:21).  Our membership is characterized as a group of people encouraging one another on toward the goal of an eternal home in Heaven with God (Philippians 3:12-14, II Timothy 4:7-8, John 14:1-4).  See also Sermons on the Church.

The Beliefs of this Local Church
We believe in:

  • God.  We believe God is the Creator of all things (Genesis 1).  We believe the deity of God includes the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), & the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20, II Corinthians 13:14).

  • God's Kingdom.  We believe God, the Father, sent Jesus Christ, His Son, to save the world.  We believe that Jesus Christ grants citizenship in the Kingdom of Heaven to those who are saved and remain faithful.  And we believe that Jesus Christ is going to return one day to take them there to live a life everlasting (John 3:16, Matthew 7:21, Philippians 3:17-21).

  • God's Word.  We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that it is our only authority (II Timothy 3:16-17).  We believe that all who obey God's Word are forgiven of their sins and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, that is, salvation by the grace of God, and are added to the Lord's church, Christ's body, under the authority of God (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Acts 2: 47; Eph 1:22-23).

The Work of this Local Church
Our goals are to:

  • Spread the good news of Jesus Christ to the world around us (Mark 16:15)

  • Nurture each Christian in the church to full growth in Christ (Hebrews 6:1)
We have excellent Bible classes for all ages, including infants and aged saints.  Our curriculum covers the entire Bible and is designed to give each student a complete understanding of God's plan of redemption for all men.

  • Provide benevolent help to the saints in need (Acts 6:1-4)

Listed below are some of our special spiritual activities:

  • Home groups meet monthly in members' homes to get to know each other better and focus on spiritual things (Acts 5:42; 20:20)

  • Men's and women's spiritual support groups meet monthly in members' homes to pray and discuss the struggles of life

  • Men's and women's work groups meet monthly at the church building to arrange physical and spiritual care for the members and to arrange follow-up contact with guests

  • Services are conducted at nursing homes on Sunday afternoons

  • Evangelists in Russia and South Africa are supported

We invite you to come and visit with us at anytime.  We ask you to investigate our work at the Franklin Church of Christ.  If you find that we are serving the Lord as He instructs in the Bible, we ask you to be identified with us and together we can help each other grow and mature as Christians in our service to the Lord.
